  • Cristabel SVED

    WRITER/ DIRECTOR

    Cristabel Sved has worked professionally as a director, dramaturg and teacher.

    She is a founding member of Darlinghurst and Milk Crate Theatre, and held positions as Milk Crate Artistic Director, Belvoir Street Theatre Associate Artist and Griffin Theatre Resident Director.

    Cristabel has directed with Sydney Theatre Company, Belvoir, Griffin, Stalker, ATYP, Milk Crate, Sydney Opera House, NIDA, The Actors’ Centre, Queensland Performing Arts, Carriageworks, Sydney Festival, Red Stitch, Casula Powerhouse, UWS and Playwriting Australia. Her Sydney Festival production of Alice In Wonderland toured throughout NSW and was nominated for Best Production for Children and Young People (2018 Sydney Theatre Awards).

    Cristabel has a Post Grad Directing degree from NIDA, a BA from Theatre Nepean, BA Honors (Performance Studies - UWS) and has studied Intimacy Direction with IDC, NYC. 

    She has recently written and directed a short film, Date 3, a psychological thriller.

  • Kate Box

    ELLA

    Kate Box graduated from NIDA in 2003 and has since worked extensively in film, television, and theatre. In 2024, Kate received an AACTA Award for Best Acting in a Comedy for her lead role in Amazon Prime original series Deadloch. In the same year she was nominated for an AACTA Award for Best Lead Actor in a Drama for her role in SBS’s Erotic Stories. In 2019, Kate was nominated for the AACTA Award for Best Supporting Actress in a television drama for her work in ABC series, Les Norton. In 2018, Kate starred as ‘Marg McMann’ in the tele-movie Riot (ABC, 2018 Logie Nomination for Most Outstanding Actress, and 2018 AACTA Winner for Best Lead Actress). Kate has appeared in all five series of Rake (ABC) as ‘Nicole’, (2015 Equity Ensemble Award, 2011 Equity Ensemble Award).  In 2014 Kate received an AACTA Award nomination for Best Lead Actress for her role in feature film, The Little Death.

    Kate’s recent television work includes AACTA Award Winning series Fires, Stateless, Wentworth, The Unlisted, Upright, Sheilas (ABC), Picnic at Hanging Rock (Foxtel), Wanted (Netflix) and F*cking Adelaide (ABC) and The Moth Effect (Amazon Prime), Boy Swallows Universe (Netflix), Paper Dolls (Amazon Prime), Bump (Stan), Four Years Later (SBS) and Ladies in Black (ABC). Other credits include Soul Mates, Old School, Paper Giants: The Birth of Cleo, Offspring, My Place, False Witness, All Saints, Scorched, Tripping Over, Small Claims and the web series Let’s Talk About. Kate will be returning in the role of ‘Dulcie’ for the highly anticipated second series of Deadloch. 

    Kate’s film credits include Ben Elton’s Three Summers, The Daughter, Random 8, Oranges and Sunshine, Hush, You Cut, I Choose, The Black Balloon, Back of the Net, and Monolith. Kate will next be seen opposite Olivia Coleman in Sophie Hyde’s Jimpa, which premiered at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival.

  • Daniel Henshall

    HARRY

    Daniel's most recent credits include Oscar winner Bong Joon Ho’s MICKEY 17 opposite Robert Pattison and Mark Ruffalo, Sophie Hyde’s JIMPA opposite Olivia Coleman and John Lithgow, and the third and final season of the critically acclaimed ABC series THE NEWSREADER.

    He was nominated for the 2025 AACTA award for Best Actor in Nick Waterman’s debut feature How to Make Gravy for Warner Bros; an adaptation of Australian music legend Paul Kelly’s iconic song. 

    Daniel is best known for his portrayal of real life serial killer John Bunting, in the critically acclaimed and award winning feature Snowtown directed by Justin Kurzel, which screened in the prestigious Critics Week at the 2011 Cannes Film Festival. Among other honours, Daniel earned the AACTA Award for Best Actor for this Performance. 

    He is currently working on The Dispatcher for Apple TV+. 

    Other credits include Jennifer Kent’s cult classic THE BABADOOK, Thomas M. Wright’s ACUTE MISFORTUNE (AFCA and FCCA nominations for Best Actor), Kitty Green’s THE ROYAL HOTEL, Bong Joon Ho’s OKJA; Paramount's GHOST IN THE SHELL; Apple TV+ series DEFENDING JACOB; Protoza Pictures' CATCH THE FAIR ONE;  AMC period drama TURN: Washington’s Spies; Netflix series CLICKBAIT, and ABC series MYSTERY ROAD: ORIGIN (2022 AACTA Award for Best Supporting Actor).

  • Margi Hoy

    EDITOR

    Margi Hoy is a Sydney-based film editor with over 20 years experience in feature films and television drama. She was nominated for Best Editing by the Australian Screen Editors Guild (ASE) for SISSY (SXSW 2022), the breakout genre satire that earned a 97% Rotten Tomatoes score, multiple AACTA nominations including Best Film, and won audience awards at Sitges and Bucheon. The film was acquired for North American release by Shudder.

    Some of Margi's earlier credits include Shannon Murphy’s feature debut BABYTEETH [Assembly Editor], which premiered in competition at the 2019 Venice International Film Festival, and again with  Shannon Murphy, ON THE ROPES (SBS/Lingo Pictures) which received an AACTA nomination for Best Miniseries.

    In 2026 she will reunite with director Blake Fraser (Patricia Moore, SBS/Blackpills) on his debut feature, ONLY BLOOD.

  • Kate Cornish

    CINEMATOGRAPHER

    Kate Cornish is an award winning cinematographer with a flair for shooting bold and dynamic visuals in comedy, drama and commercial work. She is passionate about authentic queer representation in her storytelling. 

    Most recently, Kate wrapped production on her first feature film, Nugget is Dead: A Christmas Story (Stan/CBS Studios/Easy Tiger). She immediately followed this as DoP for the tv series Optics (ABC/ Easy Tiger), and Season 3 of Netflix’s Heartbreak High to be released in 2025

    PRODUCER

    Kali Reid is a creative producer with over 20 years experience across film, TV, documentary and arts. She is currently in pre-production on feature film 2 MOONS, for Co-Curious with the Powerhouse Museum. In 2022 she produced the documentary series 8 NIGHTS OUT WEST for ABC. Kali was associate producer on the 2021 global Netflix hit series CLICKBAIT. Kali executive produced the 2019 Screenability Filmmakers Fund for Screen NSW, premiering at Sydney Film Festival. From 2017-18 Kali worked in house at Matchbox Pictures on award-winning projects including STATELESS, THE HEIGHTS, GLITCH and SECRET CITY. She co-founded 107 Projects and the Jesse Cox Audio Fellowship, was Live Performance Curator at Campbelltown Arts Centre and has produced live work for some of Australia’s pre-eminent festivals.

  • Madeleine de Wilde Barr

    PRODUCER

    Madeleine de Wilde Barr is a Producer and Production Manager working across narrative and commercial projects, with a passion for meaningful and creative storytelling. She recently produced the hero films for the ‘Nothing quite like it’ campaign for the Sydney Opera House.

    Madeleine enjoys working with up and coming directors and supporting emerging film makers in developing and actualising their projects. She prides herself on being a resourceful and creative producer and collaborator.
